My name is Lennart Matzen, and I’m a self-taught photographer with nearly a decade of experience in landscape photography, which I later expanded to include portrait photography.

How did I get into photography, you might ask? I’m pretty sure my story will sound familiar to you. Have you ever been in a stunning location at the perfect moment, wishing you could freeze time and capture the moment forever? I’m willing to bet you have. That’s exactly how my love for photography began. Capturing the essence of a moment has always fascinated me.

Growing up in a small place in Northern Germany, I was surrounded by awe-inspiring landscapes and breathtaking architecture, all just a stone’s throw away from the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. These surroundings helped me to develop my skills as a photographer over time.

As my journey in photography progressed, I found myself drawn to capturing images of friends and family. Through experimenting with different techniques, I found that I particularly enjoyed taking close-up portraits.

Since people in my community were aware of my love for photography, it was a great honor when a long-lost friend approached me to photograph her wedding. Sometime later, another friend asked me if I could do some business pictures of him as the owner and his handcrafted products. Once again, I was humbled by the opportunity.
